Here is a selection of kitchens that I have painted over the past several years.
In this kitchen the simple, shaker style, profile of the doors painted a bright white contrast nicely with the darker walls. The more dramatic features of the lighting and the wall clock make this a very elegant room.
This kitchen uses similar elements but creates a more natural and casual feel.
Here, the large room allows for a grand gesture. There is space enough for the ornate details and glossy surfaces.
The formality of this room is softened by the cabinetry painted with a subtle veil of burnt umber over a cream coloured enamel paint.
Again, a large space is used for a dramatic statement.
The glamour and drama are created by features like the chandelier and the range hood, made of pressed tin and painted to look like antique bronze.
This kitchen was part of a massive renovation in South Yarra. The clients were very specific about what they wanted. They loved old timber, natural textures and well made things. They created a home that was sophisticated and comfortable.
This is a nice example of how small details like the tiled splash back and the glass doors combine to create a traditional look that isn’t too fussy or dated.
This kitchen is all contrasts and textures. Black tiles, a copper bench top and the cupboards painted in Dulux “snow season” create a very contemporary space.
This Hampton style kitchen is clean and bright
